Arts Council of the Valley

Welcome to the Arts Council of the Valley.

The Arts Council of the Valley is the primary advocate, catalyst and resource for the arts in the central Shenandoah Valley.

Our mission is to employ the arts in enrichment of community life by promoting the creation of the arts, supporting and delivering arts-related programs and events, collaborating with other arts-related organizations, developing and encouraging opportunities for arts education, serving as a liaison between artists and audiences and advocating for greater resources for the arts.

The Arts Council of the Valley is located in historic Smith House in downtown Harrisonburg. Smith House is also home to the Smith House Gallery.
